Hiro glanced at Riko and sighed a little. "Good to know I'm not seeing things..." he whispered as he watched Riko. He didn't feel hiding or crouching was needed just yet, since they were only seeing a little flicker through trees..and as sparce as they were, you still couldn't make anything else but the bit of light.
He stopped for a moment, listening as best he could. Senses weren't as keen as his survival instincts. His red eyes focused slightly to the left of where he thought the flicker was, hoping that would help him find a constant source of light...it just made the occasional flicker blurry...so he focused back to where he saw it.
He was a little frustrated by the situation, not liking the uncertainty and dreading the eventual arrival of whatever was attached the the flickering light...he paused in thought, as his eyes caught hint of another flicker left of the first...he just hoped Riko and Sesso caught it too...
If it was there, there was no longer a doubt in his mind that some sort of civilization was nearby...however friendly or not...it was nearby enough to see the light.

"I'll bet its some sort of lantern set up on a doorstep or a gate of some sort." He said quietly. The sudden realization that they could be close to someone else or many someone elses gave him a hushed feeling, like he should stay quieter and more careful. Waking a person up in the middle of the night being a stranger could not be fun at all. He rolled foward and back on the balls of his feet as he looked just slightly to the right of where he thought the light was and used his periphiral ,and better for night, vision to get a better look. He didnt get much, just a more clear color of the light as if someone had cleared the smoke from in front of them.
"You want to go round about, direct straight, or just leasurely?" he asked Hiro. For some reason, he found this not all too disturbing. Before he realized it he had asked and found himself looking to Hiroshi for answers, like he was the unofficial leader of this threesome. Well, he thought, Ive just made him leader then.. Riko hoped no one would look to him for more than just information or help. He never liked being the leader, just the one beside that was loyal and known for it. In all his friends groups and classes he was just that. It happened to come so natural.

"How about maybe...attracting this 'things' attention? Like...I have this watch here we could use maybe. I mean we still don't know what this thing could be right? So throwing this would give us some idea of what it is I think." Sesso felt a sudden urge to contribute something to the conversation after remaining in the sidelines for so long. His idea was probably the more dangerous of the bunch but it would, in Sesso's opinion, give them some closure on the subject. Way to freaking go! About time you got your head in the game. Now stay like that....I mean it too or else!! Sesso continued to stay focused on the light source, not letting anything else come in view of his current target.
The watch was now reading five minutes till seven. It could still, to a degree, tell time even if it was horribly inaccurate. A strange sense of accomplishment now overwhelmed Sesso. Talking so up front like that was definitely a step in the right direction for him, even if it was really a minuscule step. Nevertheless, he made sure to give a straight face and not be terribly excited about this recent personal goal achievement.

Hiro blinked, hearing Sesso's comment. "Yes, lets draw unknown, possibly deadly and unpleasent thing to us...no, no," Hiro shook his head a little in annoyance. "Advice for survival...surprised enemy means better chance of living to surprise your friends..." he said bluntly.
He looked at Riko, nodding a little. "I'm for around at a leisurely pace...until we can make something more out...like a building, or a drooling troll," he replied quietly.
And then, it sank in...finally, Sesso had a watch...which would help them out...in some way...If time passed differently here, that watch would tell them, and if they could figure that out, they were one step closer to knowing something useful about this world...like, maybe when a good time would be to leave according to that clock...so, if they found a way home, they didn't walk out of a locker in the middle of class..
He looked at Sesso, furrowing his brow in thought, before reaching his hand out. "Can I see that watch?" he asked a little tursely, still not very happy with the 'draw the bad guys to us' theory he spouted...

Riko snickered quietly. He knew that wouldn't have gone too well. Thats like going into a bull ring blindfolded. You cant see the bull and dint know if its really there, but you paint a bullseye on your chest just in case. Then he giggled a bit at troll. He imagined a drooling troll, dirty, nasty, but his poster image of a troll was blinded by idiocy and comedy.
He watched in pure blank curiosity. A watch? But if things did indeed go differently here, they might get all confused trading this time to their time, recording it, trying to figure it out.. He barely even thought about going back now. He was so excited, exploring, some dangers, being outside, and just in a new place had made him temporarily think about their own reality. He kept shut though, glad one of his ideas had been used and was going to be put to proper place. A friend had always told him 'Always think of three different ways to do something', then choose the best one. 'Never think of anymore than three, of you're thinking too deep, and not thinking of at least three might make you miss something important!', so he always made sure to keep it in mind. Moreover, it was habit now. There was always a way out, as a matter of fact there were always three ways out.

"I didn't mean like...." He sighed slightly in disappointment and handed the watch over to Hiro. "Here you go. If its to any help to you." Sesso continued to monitor the object after giving the watch over to Hiro. Sure he was disappointed at the bitter reception of his theory but he wasn't going to keep that little bit from letting him down from his high. Sesso was weird like that. Remaining, to a degree, happy yet still feeling ashamed at the same time. Whether or not that was possible was something only Sesso could answer, if he could answer it that is.
"It says its four minutes till seven. It doesn't say if its AM or PM so that gives us no help in that department..." he said with still some confidence left over. He rubbed his eye again and sighed at the current circumstance.
[short sorry....]

"What time did we leave? Anyone remember?" Hiro asked as he looked at the watch carefully. Maybe there was a say to turn it into a compass...he didn't know how off the top of his head, and he wasn't sure if he wanted to break Sesso's watch just yet...
The battery still worked, which could be useful, and if nothing else, they had a projectile if that aforementioned drooling troll should some how materialize before them.
He wondered if this world had a library, for a moment. Wondering if he would be able to do something here that he couldn't at home...again, the science fiction and fantasy stories coming to mind...but not as vividly as the Myths and Legends he clung to for years. Then there was Aice in Wonderland...a classic he hated so much because of its silly, stupid cop-out ending...
If only solidified his desire to find something to read...but then, he also wondered what language would be spoken...would anyone understand them?
As he walked, he started cutting his way slowly to the left, watching his footing for traps or roots or loose rocks...anything that might cause some one to trip or to get hurt. He had his outer shirt he could use as a sling, or a bandage, and he could part with the lower had of his pants if needed...so he was only really worried about mortal wounds, gut wounds, things a person can die from without proper treatment.
He yawned a little as he walked, trying to keep his steps quiet as he pocketed the watch. Something to toy with when he wasn't trying to be agile.

Riko quickly hopped up and followed Hiroshi sideways around the light. Now as he had to stay quiet (circling around an object depicted you had to actually shut up and focus), so his exciting energy fueled a steady calmness now. He put his hands softly into the pockets of his jacket, one that was a bit too big around the waist due to his not-so-buffness. The rest fit fine, and of course underneath he had a classic dark shirt. He walked casually but his steps landed almost silently. Een thoguh his thick boots would normally make that annoying grass moving noise, as said before, heknew how to ghost walk!
"Uhm.. I think we left.. at eight? I honestly dont know. Before I saw it the first time I had checked a while before then and it was seven. But like I said, a while before.. Obviously been an even more while since we first fell through." He almost laughed at that. Fell; because he knew each probably fell through. He just about did, and Sesso actually did.

"Sorry I don't remember either. Unless the watch got altered on our journey here I'd say subtract 30 minutes to an hour from the time the watch says." he said trying to remain as quiet as possible. There was something ominous about this light that Sesso couldn't shake off. Perhaps it was how enigmatic it was or just the fact that it was a light itself and had a double meaning of sorts was enough to get Sesso as alarmed as ever. I wonder if your pansy ass will be prepared if you have to fight this creature, if its a creature that is. Haha I'd love to see you fail...
Sesso shook his head violently to snap back into reality. He was getting really annoyed with the constant quips his 'voice' kept making about him. Sesso looked at Hiro again and pointed toward the watch he gave him. "You can mess around with it if you want to. I've got a better one back home so you can do whatever to it if need be." he said nodding.

"Good, because I hardly have the money to replace it when I break it..." Hiro replied with quiet joke. Truth was, of course...he wouldn't pay for a new one, period, end of story. As he kept walking around this world, he wanted less and less to go home. And yet...he wanted to got home at the same time...He wasn't regretting coming through, just not leaving a note to his friends.
He yawned again, silently much to his nose's dismay, and continued walking, trodding along as silently as he could, which was surprisingly well, at least, it was to him. He was only good as sneaking up on people when there was solid ground of some more smooth variety...no sticks or leaves to crunch under his feet...still, he kept the crunching to a minimum...so he was proud of himself for that much.
His only real worry was that he might catch his shirt on a branch, or his pants, cause them to rip loudly...which, if caught, he knew they would...no holding back at all...just his luck to have talkative clothing...he muttered something silently, thinking about several awkward moments of his life where his clothing had ruined a moment of peace because they tore... Most of those times were when he was trying to sneak up on his friends...bottom of the pant leg catching on a bit of nail sticking out from the pavement, ripping his pants and annoucing his presence.
He wondered if he'd get to do that again...

As they got closer to their target, Riko realized again like so many other times that they couldnt all three go moving foward. If any one person didnt make a noise, then their cumulative shadows would announce them, and if not that, then the fact that there were three moving things would do it for sure. So he made up his mind when the light was in plain view but still not distinguishable.
"Im gonna go check it out.." He whispered low as he got down squatting and moved slowly sideways, creeping low to the gorund, silent, careful, using his hands to guide through the darkness and his toes to test footing. He kept moving til he was barely visible. All the while he kept his vision just to the right of the light to see it in his peripheral better.
Although he wasnt gone long, even to him it felt like forever. Timeslowed when you were focusing, and he was determined not to get snuck up on or be exposed. But his efforts proved vain. He returned with an ironic look on his face. "Its a lamp." He huffed as he rolled his eyes. To think, they were wary about a LAMP. "Thats all it is. A lamp hanging on a stick next to a dirt road. I figured as much from the steady movement but thought it might have been more. I think I saw buildings off down the road though".

"You can't be serious...." The fear that had been haunting the three of them for the past 30 minutes or so, that ominous feeling that Sesso had, was just because of a lamp? A lamp of all things? This blew Sesso away as he went through several emotional shifts. From relieved, to pissed off, back to relieved again. "Well...I suppose thats one less thing we have to worry about. Wow buildings too? Might give us a clear indication of where we are." he said just barely being able to muster it out of him. Man...there goes your big moment huh? Haha you got lucky for once. Or maybe not? Hahaha
Sesso remained deep in thought now that the enigmatic 'object' turned out to be nothing more than a lamp. It didn't quite narrow down the possibilities of where they might be but the find of buildings most certainly would. From the looks of things the idea of the three of them being on some distant planet seemed far off now and it could be they're just on the other side of the world. Sesso ran through the many possible explanations in his mind as he continued to walk.

Hiroshi was greatly disappointed. He was hoping it was something more than a damn lamp. Here they were, after walking around the damn thing, thinking it was something more, like, oh, he didn't know, maybe a fucking building?
He didn't show his disappointment as he walked through the trees toward the lamps. He didn't know where they were, but he figured finding something like a building might help them figure it out.
He was sure, at this point, knowing that not many places in the world had truly furry plants as this place did. Fur that looked like thorns...he couldn't think of a place, in his vast memory of plant life, that had thorn-looking furs.
As he stepped out of the trees, he looked around, figuring nothing would be interesting in attacking something that looked like a ghost in this realm. His face was a little dirty, from all the trees and plants and road dust. He stood there a moment, just without the treeline, not more than two steps away from the meager shelter of the trees. His black dress-esque shirt was dusty, and the grey undershirt echoed a little of the same dust.
His blue jeans were a strange tint of brown near the bottom, and the left leg ankle portion was ripped where it caught on the locker, which caused him to trip into this new area.
Seeing a little bit of road, and a few faint hints of buildings, he looked back to the others, waiting on them. He wanted to find out if there was anything different about this place, something out of a myth...anything more supernatural about it other than the doorway...which he had a sneaking suspision was now shut tightly.
He also was hoping to find some where to sit and fiddle with the watch, do a few rough calculations, maybe even find a book on this place...maybe a little something on a language. If that, is, there was a different language, and if anything or anyone understood his own.

Riko walked out with grace. Now that he knew full well what the lamp was, and what was around, and had the chance to go ahead and view things, he was pretty confident, still walking along with his hands in the pockets of his jacket, his jacket open and free, and his steps lighthearted and stealthy. Honestly, it was truly amazing how much guile he could have so easily.
Of course he was in just about the same shape. His boots had mud on them, and so did the end of his pants. The sleeves of his jacket were a bit wet from dew off the bushes and such when he had gone ahead, and occasionally a mud spot. His hands were dirty, but he had wiped them on dirt and his own jeans, so they weren't horrid.
Now that they were out of the sparsely placed trees, he began to briefly comb through his hair as he walked. It had been freely flowing since before they 'landed' here, and he had found it annoying when he was creeping along, it catching some branches, but at the time he hadn't wanted to stop to fix it. He pulled out some leaves as he took a hair tie and tied a low ponytail near the base of his neck. Just loose, to hold it back. Then he got another and tied it tight around the end. A bit odd looking, but he had long ago found it was the best if you ever put your hair up.
"You know.. I bet we could follow some lights, or buildings, and find an Inn.. or Tavern.. or some little area to rest or even sleep for a bit. I hope we don't get anyplace we have to pay, because I doubt we have anything they would take.." He said as a sudden thought. In the stories he always read, the characters always stayed in taverns. Then again, those were fictional.

The warm air Sesso was feeling previously turned chilly on him all of a sudden. He found himself buttoning up his vest and rubbing his hands together for a little warmth. Nothing too extreme mind you but it was fairly cold for Sesso.
He wasn't one to go out much especially during the winter season. Sesso loved the snow but, oddly enough, hates the cold feeling. Temperature and he never got along very well at all. "Is it just me or has it gotten a bit chilly?" he said still rubbing his hands.
With the surprise that the 'object' was just a lamp, Sesso's courage had jumped a few notches. No longer weary of a creature maybe attacking them, Sesso stood tall, to a degree anyway, while mustering up some energy to brace himself for the sudden temperature change.
He honestly thought, for a moment, that he might be going insane. No one else seemed to be as cold as he was at the moment. He shrugged any thought of becoming mad away and thought about more important things such as finding out where they were.
Removing some more of his bangs from his eyesight, Sesso grinned at the thought of a resting area being nearby. His feet, no, every part of his body was aching and in need of a break. Even just a nice one hour nap would be enough for him to sustain himself. He even began to laugh before covering his mouth in awkwardness. There go you're man points. You know you were doing great for a moment there and now....poof! All gone thanks to that. Nice try though pansy man.
(really sorry about the long wait. I've been really busy tonight.)
